Every year, people make decisions or improvements they want their lives at the start of the New Year. These are commonly known as “new year’s resolutions". Most people make a new set of resolutions every year to follow. But come February they forget all about them

I for one am not so far off from my fellow human beings. I have been resolving to improve my self and my grades for these past few years but sadly, they never worked out. Though I suspect it was due to a lack of effort.

So, the year 2008, a new year, a new set resolutions. As for the first resolution, I resolve to follow my other resolutions. I guess if I were to follow my first resolution, I would have done all of them, if I followed that is. My second resolution would be something I would have to adhere to or at least, my mother would make me do so. I intend to stop “fooling around" and strive to get a single digit aggregate for my O' levels. Though easier said than done, I bet the whole of my cohort would be wishing the same thing. This resolution is one I intend to fulfill by hook or by crook.

My third resolution is of a personal kind. It involves one of my not so finer points. procrastination, is one many would be familiar to, in fact the both of us are inseparable(me and procrastination).I intend to ditch this habit as it is this habit as it is not getting me anywhere, nor is it helping me with homework. I procrastinate to do homework as I find it a chore and often the work piles up and I am not able to meet the deadline.

My fourth and final resolution would be to pass my National Physical Fitness Assessment test (NAPFA test). I am probably the slowest person in the school when I run-in clocked a record timing of thirty minutes for the two and a half kilometer run

Now that I got all my resolutions off my chest and penned down, the last thing I need to do is fulfill them.
